Navarathri thayar utsavam

Ill take a small break in describing the sannidhis.

This being Navarathri season....thayar enjoys her utsavams in the Golu mandapam.She comes out a little bit just outside of her premises,  her Andapuram as such   she is the queen of Srirangam,  after all..Her purapadu is grand,devotees await her with folded palms,open palms, she is the Supreme mother here. Before she is ready to come out  the maniyakarar goes in on the dot of 6.30 and the bearers go in  in a row the first three carrying a coconut held AGAINST THIER NOSES ,  THE OTHERS HOLDING THEIR PLAMS IN FRONT OF THEIR NOSES ALL IN A PRAYERFUL  ATTITUDE,HUMBLE IN THEIR CARRIAGE.
tHE CURTAINS ARE DRAWN, AND SHE COMES OUT AFTER THE CONCH RINGS OUT.
tHE MOMENT IS  PRECIOUS AND RARE.
sHE WEARS HER DIAMONDS WELL.  HER PALMS ARE DIAMOND STUDDED AND GLITTER ,HELD IN ABAYA MUDRA,.sHE WEARS HUGE DIAMOND EARSTUDS WITH MATTAL.AND WEARS A HUGE PENDANT IN DIAMONDS .hER SAREE IS OF DIFFERENT HUES. VERY RARE...A MAJENTA AND BLUE STRIPED WITH A GREEN AND ORANGE BORDER.......ALL BOLD COLOURS WORN WELL BY A QUEEN.

  sHE IS BORNE  OUTSIDE OF HER DAILYABODE FOR A SMALL WALK AROUND HER COURTYARD AND THEN SHE SITS IN DURBAR IN THE GOLU MANDAPAM.tHIS IS A VERY FUN FILLED UTSAVAM WHERE THE KOIL ELEPHANT DANCES TO NADASWARAM MUSIC,THE ELEPHANT ,NAMED aNDAL ,30 YEARS OF AGE ,DOES A SMALL ENTERTAINMENT IN FRONT OF THAYAR , SHE HOPS AND PLAYS THE MOUTHORGANAND NODS HER HEAD IN TUNE WITH THE NADASWARAM.

THE LADIES ARE ALL WELL TURNED OUT  AND  LINE UP TO HAVE DHARSHAN
