Thayar thiruvadi sevai….ezham thirunal

The navarathri celebrations go on for 9 days in the thayar sannidhi, the Ranga Nachiyar comes out in a procession daily around 5.30.On the 7th day the thayar reveals her Lotus feet to her devotees and this is known as thiruvadi sevai. People come from near and far, to have dharshan of this rare sight, which is once a year only.
The thayar is prepared and decorated befitting a queen , she wears a beautiful white and red saree, wears rubies and diamonds and sits on her palanquin like a queen, with her feet visible. As usual she holds her palms in the abhaya hastham all studded with diamonds too, as if to attract people to her palms which directs them to the right path.
On Vijayadasami day, it is the Lords turn to go out riding.
Rangan in a white veshti looking as elegant as ever, adorned in simple but very beautiful diamonds and rubies goes out in a pallakku to the Kattu Azhagiya Singar koil. He stays there till evening granting  dharshan to all devotees  there. A golden horse is decorated and taken to the perumal who rides on it while aiming an arrow at the pinna tree there.
In the evening he comes via Sathara veedhi which is the poo sandhai of Srirangam, as such the devotees there decorate their street with flowers and flower shamianas.
